Slim jeans are the classic ones a little bit narrow, but not too much, normally with a mid-raise and not quite fitted at the ankle.
This type of jeans usually suits rectangular and hourglass silhouettes because they are very proportionate in terms of the width between shoulders and hips, so if we don’t want to choose skinny jeans, these are a very good option to combine with upper garments that get more attention either with volumes or more striking colors, and thus, create contrast with the lower part of the body.
As we mentioned previously, skinny jeans look great on all kind of silhouettes, but, mainly on rectangular and hourglass.
Why? It is really they are figures in which we try to enhance the upper body and this type of jeans help to stylize and fit perfectly to the silhouette of the body. This makes it easier to draw attention to the upper torso, which is what we want to achieve.
Mom Fit Jeans are the characteristic jeans of the 90’s, straight, a little baggy and high-waist jean.
They are super flattering especially in oval, triangular, rectangular, and hourglass silhouettes.
Stylize and make you look taller by the high shot, enhancing the length of the legs and highlighting the waist.
Slouchy jeans are similar to bloomers in terms of pattern. Fitted at the waist and ankle but loose in the legs.
This shape favors a lot to inverted triangle, rectangular, and hourglass silhouettes because they help to create a more balanced proportion between the upper and lower body, creating more volume in the hips and legs.
Loose fit jeans are what we know as very baggy jeans that fit only at the waist.
They flatter inverted triangle, oval and rectangular figures because they balance the upper and lower body.
Culotte pant flatters particularly good almost all silhouettes, mainly oval, triangle and inverted triangle, rectangular and hourglass; especially if you are tall, as they mark the waist because they are usually high-waisted and are cut above the ankle.
They are wide leg so they’re considered very comfortable jeans and look great with both dressed up looks with heels and more casual looks with converse.
Tapered jeans are shaped like Slim pants but in the baggy version. They are a little wider in the legs and are adjusted at the waist and ankle.
These are found more in men’s jeans than in women’s jeans.
They flatter oval, rectangular, and inverted triangle silhouettes.
Flare pants take us back to the 70’s and the hippie era.
They were discontinued, but they came back with a bang and became one of the trendiest jeans and continue to be so today.
Whom do they flatter? Well, being a tight-fitting jean at the top but loose from the calf to the floor, they look great on oval, triangle, rectangle, and hourglass silhouettes.
The classic among classics.
Straight jeans, as the name suggests, their shape is totally straight from waist to ankle without fitting to your body.
They flatter oval, both types of triangles and rectangular silhouettes.
A jean that became very fashionable in 2020 is the Wide Leg, which is fitted at the waist and buttocks and is progressively wider in the legs and usually covers the feet.
It fits very well to different types of silhouettes such as the oval, both types of triangle, rectangular, and hourglass. They are very stylish because they make the leg more elongated (by covering the feet) and make us look taller.
